Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible
RECOMPANY, based in Brazil, operates Replay Editor and is the controller of personal data under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018). Contact for privacy: privacy@replayvideoeditor.com. This policy is in English only.
2. Your files and projects
Editing, previewing and exporting happen in your browser. Videos, audio, images and projects you open in the editor are not uploaded to us, and we cannot see them, unless you save a project while signed in (below).
The editor also keeps a local autosave of your project in your browser on your device to protect your work, including when you are signed out. This data stays on your device. Clearing your browser data for this site deletes it.
Signed-in users can save projects on our servers. Saving a project uploads the project and the media files in it to Cloudflare R2, our storage provider. We use them only to keep your project and give it back to you. The free plan allows 1 saved project of up to 1 GB, and a subscription allows 5 projects of up to 10 GB each. Media files you import are never uploaded unless you save a project while signed in.
Saved projects are kept until you delete them or your account. If a subscription ends, projects over the free plan limits are deleted after 30 days unless you delete or export them first.
3. Your account
Your Replay Editor account is a standalone account (sign in by email or with Google). We keep the data needed to run the account: your email address, your sign-in method and, if you use Google, the basic profile details Google shares with us. We never receive your Google password. Sign-in and account data are handled by Supabase, our authentication and database provider. An account is needed only to save projects on our servers; you can edit and export without one.
You can delete your Replay Editor projects and data at any time inside Replay Editor. You can delete your account from your account settings (it cannot be deleted while a paid subscription is active: cancel the subscription first). When the account is deleted, your Replay Editor projects and their media files are deleted too. When a subscription ends, projects over the free plan limits are deleted after 30 days, unless you delete or export them first.
4. Export counter
We keep an anonymous daily total of how many exports are made, to understand how much the editor is used. It is a plain number per day: no user id, no name, no account, no files and no other identifier, and we do not store IP addresses in it. It applies whether or not you are signed in.
5. Ads
Ads are shown on the free plan and are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first, and personalised ads are shown only with consent.
How Google uses data from sites that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
A subscription removes the ads.
6. Hosting, storage and server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare, and saved projects are stored in Cloudflare R2. Like any web host, it may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and to protect against abuse, and it keeps technical logs under its own retention rules. Cloudflare privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
Sign-in and account data (your email address, your sign-in method and the basic Google profile details described above) and the metadata of your saved projects (such as names and dates) are held by Supabase, our authentication and database provider. Supabase privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
7. Subscriptions and donations
Payments are handled by Stripe, our only payment processor, which receives your payment details. We receive only what we need to manage the subscription or donation (for example status, amount, currency and a customer identifier), never your full card number.
8. Why we may process data (LGPD legal bases)
Depending on the case:
- your consent, for personalised ads and non-essential cookies;
- our legitimate interest, for security and the anonymous export counter;
- performing a contract, for accounts, saved projects and subscriptions;
- compliance with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records for payments.
9. Your rights
Under the LGPD you can ask us to:
- confirm that we process your data and give you access to it;
- correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
- anonymise, block or delete unnecessary data;
- port your data to another provider;
- delete data processed with your consent, and withdraw that consent at any time;
- tell you who we share data with.
10. Retention and transfers
Data in your browser stays until you delete it. Account data and saved projects are kept while your account exists, and you can delete saved projects at any time. When a subscription ends, projects over the free plan limits are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Data held by our providers is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as the law requires. Some providers (such as Google, Stripe, Cloudflare and Supabase) may process data outside Brazil. When they do, we rely on the safeguards the LGPD allows for international transfers, such as contractual clauses.
11. Children
Replay Editor is not directed to children under 13, and accounts are only for people aged 13 or over. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian to subscribe or donate.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
13. Contact and complaints
To use your rights or ask a question, write to privacy@replayvideoeditor.com. You can also complain to the Brazilian data protection authority (ANPD).
